Lead RRP Training

This course teaches safe work practices to renovators, remodelers, painters, carpenters and those who regularly disturb lead-based paint. Topics include containment, minimization and cleanup of lead hazards.

8-hour Initial EPA RRP Certified Renovator (CR)

Contractors who perform renovation, repairs, and painting must train and re-certify in lead-safe work practices before renovating older housing. These strict new EPA rules took effect April 22, 2010. New certification is required for all home improvement activity that disturbs more than 6 square feet per room of interior lead paint or 20 square feet total of exterior lead paint in housing built before 1978, and in any child-occupied facility.

Visit epa.gov/lead/pubs/renovation.htm for full details on the EPA’s new renovator rules.
